Welcome
to the Property Owners
Association of Greater Baltimore
(POA),
a not for profit association providing educational,
legislative and networking services to businesses
and individuals concerned with the welfare of
the rental housing market.
Since
its founding in 1957, POA has worked closely with
Baltimore City and the State of Maryland in developing
several housing laws, including those associated
with lead based paints. POA's membership consists
of owners and managers of income producing residential
properties as well as businesses and individuals
concerned with the welfare of the rental housing
market. It provides education programs and government
representation to landlords.
Whether
you own or manage one or hundreds of rental properties,
you need to belong to the Property Owners Association
of Greater Baltimore to keep informed of the constant
changes in laws and regulations that affect your
investment in the rental housing market.
Membership
is offered to owners and managers of income-producing
properties and to businesses and individuals concerned
with the welfare of the rental housing market.
The Property Owners Association seeks support
from members who are interested in preserving
and improving the real estate investment industry.
MISSION
STATEMENT:
- To
help members operate and manage their properties
in accordance with rigorous professional standards
- To
serve as an effective advocate for the interests
of investment property owners in the legislative,
political, and public policy arenas.
- To
meet regularly with government officials to
draft and enforce housing codes and laws that
will keep Baltimore's housing market strong
and make the City a better place to live.
- To
represent the voice of the responsible property
owner.
